Rummy Multiplayer

Rummy Multiplayer is a card game you can play with friends up to 4 people. You will be dealt a certain number of cards once the game starts. Create valid sets or sequences with all your cards, place them down and be the winner! It is as simple as that! Follow through the tutorial or read the guidelines below to adjust into Rummy!

Basic Rummy Rules

  • You can play Rummy Multiplayer with 2,3 or 4 players.
  • The cards are Ace,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9, Jack, Queen and King.
  • The game is played with 2 decks of cards.
  • If there are two players, 10 cards will be distributed to each player. If you play with 3 or more people, you will get 7 cards.

How to Play Rummy Multiplayer?

  • When it's your turn, take one card from the upper deck or waste pile.
  • The waste card is a face up card discarded by the left player.
  • Form valid sets or sequences and lay a meld down. We will explain how to create sets below.
  • Discard one card from your hand after your move.
  • You can directly discard a card if you don't have any sets or sequences.
  • You can also add cards to other players' melds from the cards in your hand.
  • For example, one player laid off these cards: 6♦️,7♦️,8♦️. You can add 5♦️ or ♦️9 to the sequence. You can also lay off more than one card.
  • Continue playing until one of the players eliminates all of the hand cards.
  • Calculate the score and start over.
  • The player who has a certain number of points (this number can be 100, 150, or 200, depending on the number of players) wins the game.

Sets and Sequences

You can form sets consisting of 3 same numbers (or faces) of different suits. For example, all of the sets given below are valid.

  • A♣️,A♦️,A♥️,A♠️
  • 3♣️,3♦️,3♥️,3♠️
  • 7♠️,7♥️,7♦️,7♣️
  • Q♣️,Q♦️Q♥️

You can also form sequences of a single suit. To create a sequence, you need to have at least 3 consecutive cards of the same suit. For instance, these sequences can be formed.

  • J♦️,Q♦️,K♦️,A♦️
  • A♠️,2♠️,3♠️
  • 9♥️,10♥️,J♥️
  • 4♣️,5♣️,6♣️,7♣️

Scoring Points in Rummy

  • When a player gets rid of all the cards in his hands, the round is over. The sum of the remaining cards' value is the winner's score. So, keeping low-value cards in your hand would be wise.
  • Number cards (2-9) have a value the same as the digit on the card.
  • Ace values 1 point.
  • All face cards (King, Queen and Jack) value 10 points.

Move of the Daredevils: Going Rummy

  • As in almost every other card game, Rummy rules reward risky plays.
  • You can double your scores by "going Rummy".
  • To do that, wait to lay off any cards until the end. When you are ready, remove all your hand cards in one turn.
  • Be cautious while going Rummy since another player can go Rummy before you!
