Mine & Build
About Mine & Build
Mine & Build is a free online voxel survival game where your ultimate goal is to build a flying plate and escape the planet you're stranded on. Wander a blocky, pixel-art world gathering valuable materials like wood, stone, brick, and steel ore, then put them to use crafting the structures and tools you'll need to complete your journey to freedom. There's no complicated combat system to worry about here — just steady exploration, resource gathering, and crafting toward your escape.
Objectives guide your progress along the way, such as collecting a set number of steel ore, keeping your runs focused even in an open world full of things to gather. A resource panel along the right side of the screen tracks every material you've collected, while crafting stations like workbenches and furnaces let you turn raw materials into the components your escape plan depends on.

Gathering Resources
Unlike many mining games, Mine & Build doesn't require you to swing a tool or hold down a button to collect materials — resources are mined automatically simply by walking up to them. Approaching a tree, an ore deposit, or a chunk of stone begins collecting it, with a small counter appearing above the resource showing your progress toward fully gathering it. This keeps the core loop moving quickly, letting you focus on where to explore next rather than managing manual mining actions.
Crafting and Building
Scattered around the world are crafting stations like workbenches and furnaces, each displaying its own progress counter for whatever component it's currently producing. Furnaces in particular seem to convert raw materials like brick into refined resources over time, shown by two separate counters tracking input and output. Bringing the right combination of gathered materials to these stations is essential for producing the parts needed to eventually assemble your flying plate.
Quests and Resource Tracking
A quest bar at the top of the screen keeps a specific objective in view at all times, such as collecting 10 steel ore, giving your exploration a clear short-term goal. Your full resource inventory is listed down the right side of the screen, with icons and counts for materials like logs, bricks, lava rock, and stone updating in real time as you gather. Checking this panel regularly helps you know exactly what you're missing before heading to a crafting station.
Tips for Escaping Faster
- Prioritise objectives shown in the quest bar rather than gathering everything you see, since they mark the materials that matter most right now.
- Walk close to multiple resource nodes in a cluster rather than one at a time, since automatic mining means proximity alone gets the job done.
- Keep an eye on furnace progress counters — materials sitting unconverted in a furnace aren't doing you any good until they finish processing.
- Explore outward from crafting stations methodically rather than wandering randomly, so you always know the way back to deposit materials.
