Drift Mode and Stunt Mode
In Drift Mode, you score points by hitting the brakes and sliding the car through turns, left or right, while trying to avoid crashing into other vehicles or buildings — any collision resets your drift score. The city also has dedicated Drift Trigger points; drive to one, accept the task, and hit its target drift score to bank a large credit reward, such as +1000 CR for reaching 4000 drifting points. Stunt Mode flips the challenge to ramps: launch your car off the city's high jumps and land through yellow circles to earn +500 CR per stunt, with the key tip being to hit each ramp at high speed for a clean landing. Stunt Mode also has its own Speed Trigger points — reach 170 km/h in the right zone and you'll bank +1000 CR.
Earning and Spending Credits
Credits earned from drifting and stunting are the currency that drives progression in Vice City Driver. Use them to customize and upgrade your sports car's performance, keep it fueled, and even pick up an energy drink for Tommy when his stamina runs low.
