How to Play Vex 3

Your objective in Vex 3 is to reach the green portal at the end of each level (or "Act") while avoiding the traps and hazards along the way. If you get caught in a trap, you'll respawn at the nearest checkpoint, which is marked by red flags. However, the game may tease you if you die consecutively in the same spot, posing the famous question: "Are you okay?" Here’s a step-by-step guide for Vex 3:

Stand on the level block with "Act 1" on it and press the down arrow or "S" key to begin.
Use WASD keys to jump over spikes, slide under walls, and climb walls by jumping from side to side. Study the timing of traps before attempting risky moves.
Learn and use blocks strategically.
- Orange Blocks make you bounce to jump higher.
- Purple Blocks move quickly as they fall after being touched.
- Speed Blocks boost your speed for swift movements.
- Avoid sparks that move around electric blocks.
To kick out a trapped block press S key while you're standing on the block.
Progress through traps and reach the green portal to complete the level.
Each act has a time limit for Gold, Silver and Bronze rankings. Finish faster than that to earn the trophy. If you complete the regular act, you can move on to the next act or try to get the hidden star in the completed level.

Vex Acts Explained

Standard Acts: There are 9 regular plus one Vexation act in this.
Hardcore Acts: Complete challenge modes of 9 standard acts to unlock hardcore trophies. Challenges often include grabbing a hard to achieve and hidden star.
Completion Trophies: There are four trophies you can claim in Vex 3.
- Olympian: Achieve gold or better on all acts.
- Perfectionist: Achieve perfect or better in all acts.
- Astronomer: Collect all stars across the acts.
- Winner: Complete all acts in challenge mode.
Awesome Stuff: Other than completing acts and earning trophies, you can earn extra badges for performing awesome stuff in Vex 3.
- Perfect!: Complete an Act with Perfect ranking
- Caretaker: Hold four keys at once.
- Gasping: Surface from swimming with one bubble left.
- Time Flies V2.O: Play the game for over one hour.
- Heads Up: Get crushed by a pushable block.

Obstacles

Each act introduces unique challenges, ensuring gameplay stays fresh and exciting. Some of the obstacles you can encounter are as follows.
- Surprising Spikes: Activate when approached.
- Four-Spikes: Shoot spikes in all directions.
- Poles with Ropes: Swing across gaps.
- Cannons: Fire players in the direction of their choice.
- Red Key: Temporarily activates mechanisms for 5 seconds.
- Shuriken: A portal throws 3 shurikens for 5 secs.
- Pools: You can swim in the pool for a limited time. But you should manage the stickman's bubbles (oxygen level).
