Age of Zombies is a free online twin-stick shooter where you join wisecracking hero Barry Steakfries on a time-hopping mission to blast the undead out of existence. The story mode sends you leaping across 8 wildly different eras, from prehistoric wastelands to other zombie-infested time periods, across 24 levels packed with waves of shambling enemies and 7 unique bosses standing between you and each chapter's end. Mow down hordes with a growing arsenal, toss grenades to clear tight groups, and keep Barry's trademark one-liners coming as the chaos escalates.
Beyond the main story, a separate Horde mode strips the action down to 12 dedicated survival levels, each with its own leaderboard tracking the best scores from players around the world. Story Mode Across the Ages
Story mode is organized into distinct eras, starting with Prehistoric Times and expanding into 8 total worlds as you progress, each broken into a handful of numbered levels like 1.1, 1.2, and 1.3. Every level carries its own title and one-line joke setup, along with tracked stats for your best score, deaths, and kills, encouraging you to revisit earlier levels and improve your run even after unlocking new areas. Locked levels and worlds are shown with a padlock icon until you clear the content that precedes them, giving the campaign a clear sense of progression from one time period to the next.
Horde Mode and Leaderboards
Horde mode swaps the story's level-to-level structure for pure survival, offering 12 standalone levels where the goal is simply to rack up as high a score as possible against endless waves of zombies. Each Horde level has its own global leaderboard, letting you compare your best run directly against other players' top scores.
