About Arrow Sorting
Arrow Sorting is a free online puzzle game where you tap connected chains of fruit in the correct order to clear a diamond-shaped board full of tangled paths. Each chain is marked with a small arrow showing the direction it needs to be cleared, and removing one chain reshuffles the board, opening up new connections and forcing you to rethink your next move. What starts as a simple tap-to-clear mechanic quickly grows into a genuine planning puzzle as boards fill with dozens of overlapping colored paths.

Clearing Fruit Chains
Every level in Arrow Sorting presents a diamond-shaped board covered in colored chains of matching fruit, each with a small white arrow indicating where the chain can currently be cleared from. Tapping the arrow removes that connected chain from the board, and the surrounding pieces shift to fill the gap, often revealing new chains and new arrows in the process. Because every clear changes the layout, there's rarely a single obvious solution — reading a few moves ahead is what separates a clean clear from getting boxed in with no valid moves left.
Hearts, Hints, and Scale
Your available attempts on a level are tracked by a row of hearts at the top of the screen, and running out ends your current run on that level. If you get stuck, the Hint feature in the bottom left highlights a valid move, though hints are limited and shown with a counter next to the icon. A Scale meter in the bottom right tracks your progress through the level as a percentage, climbing from your starting point toward 100% as you clear more of the board's chains.
Collection and Daily Challenge
The Collection menu lets you browse and unlock alternate visual themes for your puzzle pieces, starting with the default Fruits set and expanding into categories like Vegetables, Berries, Mushrooms, Drinks, Pastry, Sweets, Nuts, Spices, and Exotic items as you progress. On top of the standard level path, the Daily Challenge mode offers a fresh set of puzzles broken into waves, giving you a reason to check back in even after clearing your current level streak.
Tips for Clearing Levels
- Scan the whole board before tapping your first arrow, since clearing a chain in the wrong order can trap other chains behind it.
- Prioritise clearing chains near the edges of the board first when possible, as they tend to open up more space for the tangled center sections.
- Save your hints for genuinely stuck moments rather than early levels, since later boards get significantly more tangled.
- Watch how the board reshuffles after each clear — the new layout often reveals an easier path than the one you were originally planning.
