Pirate Shootout
About Pirate Shootout
Pirate Shootout is a free online 2D physics puzzle game with 50 unique levels where you clear pirate enemies not by shooting them directly, but by ricocheting bullets off walls to hit them indirectly. Reminiscent of Bullet Master, each level hands you a limited number of bullets and asks you to work out the right bounce angles to take down every enemy in the scene, from ones standing in the open to ones hiding behind gates and moving obstacles. Along the way you collect loot as a sea-faring gunslinger, adding a light progression layer to the puzzle-solving.
Pirate Shootout plays entirely in the browser on both desktop and mobile with no download needed, using a simple hold-and-release aiming system that works the same whether you're using a mouse or a touchscreen. The satisfying ricochet physics and short, replayable levels make it easy to pick up for a few minutes or push through a long puzzle-solving session.

Buttons, Gates, and Moving Obstacles
Not every level is a straightforward shot. Some enemies hide behind bars and gates that only open once you shoot a nearby button — hit it correctly and it turns green, unlocking the path to the enemies behind it. Other levels throw moving obstacles into your line of sight, so you'll need to study their movement cycle and time your shot for the moment they swing clear before sending a bullet through.
Wrecking Balls and TNT
Bullets aren't your only tool for clearing a level. Aiming for a TNT crate triggers an explosion that can wipe out multiple enemies in one shot, while wrecking balls can be dropped directly onto enemies below to crush them. Combining ricochet shots with these environmental hazards is often the key to clearing a level using as few bullets as possible.
Tips for Winning at Pirate Shootout
Study the angle of every wall before committing to a shot — Pirate Shootout rewards patience over rushed shooting, and you're protected from your own ricocheting bullets so there's no risk in lining up a bounce. Try to hit multiple enemies with a single bullet whenever the geometry allows it, since wasting even one bullet on a level costs you a star. Turn the sound on; the hit sound effects make it much easier to tell when a ricochet has actually connected.
