Their health bar slowly drains over time while they remain trapped, and a direct hit from your arrow drains it much faster, so precision matters as much as speed. Since arrows are limited per level, you need to plan your shots to free everyone before you run out — leaving even one man behind means the level isn't complete.
Redirecting Your Arrows
Later levels introduce yellow and red dotted lines that change the direction of your arrow mid-flight, and can even split a single shot into multiple arrows. Drawing your bow to aim directly at one of these lines lets you curve an arrow around obstacles or hit chains that aren't in a straight line from your starting position, adding a genuine puzzle-solving layer on top of the basic aim-and-shoot mechanic.
